1. Overview

Mededly presents a structured ear care training programme delivered by UK ENT clinicians and directed by an ENT consultant. As a CPD approved provider, the two-day hybrid course combines interactive online teaching with a supervised practical workshop and awards 10 hours of CPD points.

The Mededly ear wax removal training course has been designed to give attendees the required skills and knowledge to operate as an ear wax removal technician. You’ll master microsuction techniques through hands-on training with experienced NHS clinicians, plus receive essential business guidance to launch your practice successfully.

What if after attending the 2 day course I do not feel competent in performing microsuction?

That is completely normal. This course is designed to provide education and supervised participation. Many attendees continue developing skills through supervised practice, mentorship or workplace competency pathways after the course. However, if you feel that you need more practice after you have attended the full 2 day course, we offer all the opportunity to attend again for FREE at any of our future courses within a 12 month period.

Will you provide us with the equipment too practice with on the day?

Yes, we will provide all the equipment required however, if you have your own set of loupes or otoscope, feel free to bring it with you.

Is the Mededly microsuction course accredited?

The programme provides verifiable CPD hours following completion of structured learning activities and assessment. Clinical practice depends on professional background, indemnity and local governance arrangements.

Can I start offering microsuction after completing the course?

Yes, however independent practice is determined outside the course and depends on professional background, supervision, indemnity acceptance and governance policies. The training provides the knowledge and practical understanding required as part of a wider competency pathway.

Do I need a medical background to attend?

Delegates attend from a variety of healthcare and support roles including non-medical. The course teaches safe principles of ear care and the microsuction procedure which is open to all adults interested in this field.

Is there free parking on site?

There is parking within the vicinity free of charge for 2 hours only. You must then pay to extend your stay however, there are plenty of residential roads in the area that are a 5 minutes walk that have free parking.

Will refreshments and lunch be offered on the day?

Yes indeed, our team have made arrangements to offer tea, coffee and snacks throughout the day. There will then be lunch served.
