With a background in medical sciences and a Master’s degree in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Ahmed brings both clinical insight and entrepreneurial drive to Mededly. After completing his academic training, he went on to build a successful online pharmacy and doctor service, combining healthcare innovation with digital accessibility.
Passionate about bridging the gap between traditional education and real-world application, he founded Mededly to empower doctors, students, and educators to share knowledge, grow their brands, and make an impact through high-quality medical learning experiences.
Ahmed actively coaches start-up businesses or those on a complete career changing journey from their typical day job to becoming business owners.
Mr Mughal is a practicing ENT Consultant Surgeon with a deep-rooted commitment to advancing medical education. With a Master’s degree in Medical Education and over 40 peer-reviewed journal articles, his academic portfolio reflects a long-standing dedication to evidence-based teaching and clinical research.
Drawing from his dual expertise in clinical medicine and structured education, he is a regular contributor to Mededly.
His main interests lie in supporting trainees to thrive in their journey towards a career in ENT. He is passionate about providing clear, practical guidance at every stage of training — from early exposure to the specialty through to postgraduate examinations and career progression.
Dr Shaan Riaz is a General Practitioner with a strong interest in medical education and a passion for developing future doctors. He is actively involved in teaching medical students across London, where he focuses on delivering practical, clinically relevant learning.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr Riaz has developed particular expertise in coaching and mentoring GP trainees to successfully prepare for and pass the MRCGP examination. His supportive, structured approach helps candidates build confidence, sharpen their clinical reasoning, and perform at their best.
As a contributor to Mededly, Dr Riaz combines his frontline experience in general practice with his commitment to education, ensuring learners at all stages benefit from high-quality, accessible, and engaging teaching.
Isra is a highly experienced pharmacist and independent prescriber with over 15 years of clinical practice across both community and digital healthcare settings. Her career spans a wide range of roles in clinical leadership, patient-centred care, and multidisciplinary collaboration, making her an invaluable asset to the Mededly team.
With a deep understanding of modern pharmacy practice, Isra plays a key role in developing and delivering Mededly’s pharmacy-focused courses — from CPD-accredited workshops to independent prescribing updates. Her ability to bridge practical experience with educational insight ensures that every course is relevant, actionable, and aligned with the evolving demands of the profession.
